26 West Street, Ashburton, TQ13 DU
The Exeter was established 1130 A.D. and has been going for 889 years making us one of the World's Oldest Inns. Sir Walter Raleigh was arrested here on July 19 1603, for treason against King James I and taken to the Tower of London where he remained for 13 years. Today, the Old Exeter offers a truly wonderful atmosphere of an Inn from past times. A real gem.
